Locks we place unconsciously
I believe we all hold the key to our life. What I mean by that, is we all hold a unique key that will help us unlock all the lockets we place in our lifetime as we grow. There are many locks we place unconsciously. We lock our heart from feeling again, we lock our minds in stagnant patterns of thought and behaviours, believing that these habitual patterns are beyond our control. We lock our spirit from playing, and enjoying life, by overworking, overstressing and over obsessing, trapping our soul. We blame others and judge them for the locks that have been created within us, forgetting that we hold the key to our freedom.
We have all that we need within us to release us from the chains of which are holding us back. The key to our unchaining lies within the warm waters of love, faith, and trust and all you need to do is enter those waters for the key to appear.
Some people spend most of their life living it according to someone else’s plan, feeling the inauthenticity, yet they still lock those emotions away. Others give so much of themselves to everyone that they lose purpose and strength. Some rely on others or outer circumstances to make them happy, only to realise that they are forever running down an endless road. And with every hit and blow that strikes us, instead of looking in for answers, we lock them out and bury our feelings. We’re either forever waiting for things to change, or a sudden crisis happens that inevitably forces the change on us and it’s in that moment that if we’re lucky enough we will get shaken to awaken.
When we awaken, we start to search
We search within ourselves to discover who we are and which is the life we really want to live? We search within ourselves to rediscover our strength. We search within ourselves to find what makes us happy and as we search, we slowly feel the warmth of our heart and soul gently guide us to who we are meant to be, to who we know ourselves to be. And ever so gently, we slowly dismantle the walls we have built around our heart for protection, freeing our locked emotions, allowing them to rise; and as they rise, we heal, and as we heal, so does our soul.
But how do you enter and how do you hold on to the key?
You simply start by wanting to.
You then become aware of how cold or warm the waters are, by being mindful.
You practice acceptance through all stages, as judgment only creates rivals and delays your arrival.
And continue to move daily, regardless of how slow we may feel we are moving, for as long as we are moving we are steadily getting closer to the warm waters of love, faith and trust.
With love, acceptance and compassion we return to our true nature, and swim within the warm waters where once again, just like when we were born, we hold that one unique key to our life in our hands. The key that now unlocks all unlimited possibilities. Reborn again we start to create the life we were always meant to live.
One of my favourite quotes:
“We have two lives the second one begins when we realise we only have one”~ Confucius
